Tablescapes Gala

About the Project

Once a year the Tulsa Girls Art School (TGAS) holds a fundraising Gala. This event is their single largest fundraising event. The event lacked a consistent brand and was simply referred by the theme of the year. In 2016 TGAS realized the need to brand the event and “Tablescapes” was born. The event is one of the most creative events in town, and having the opportunity to witness it first hand I can tell you it truly is an amazing, creative event. The name Tablescapes refers to the guest’s tables centerpiece designs, each table having a unique creation from a various local artists, designers and florists

Creative State was heavily involved in many different aspects of the event including designing the event logo, website, signage, invitations, slideshows, bidder paddles and more. The feature piece of the whole project is a 16 page 9x9 event program. The programs were a hit, the client absolutely loved them and we overhead many guests talking about how cool the programs were. More than once we were told buy guests “I just cant stop touching them”. The program was printed on a nice thick paper stock and then coated with a soft-touch laminate which gave the programs an incredibly smoother silky feel. On top of the soft-touch laminate we incorporate raised spot gloss to several areas throughout the program to highlight various design elements. Combining the laminate with the spot gloss gave the program a unique tactile character that ensures the piece is not just left sitting aside.

This project was rewarding for us and the end result was a success.
