Tulsa, OK - Melissa Hawkes joins Tulsa-based digital marketing firm Creative State from News on 6, the CBS affiliate in Tulsa. She has also been a reporter at KPRC in Houston, Texas and KATC in Lafayette, Louisiana. She is a graduate of the Bob Schieffer School of Journalism at Texas Christian University. She grew up near Houston in Katy, Texas.
“As a child, my family told me I asked too many questions, but little did they know that would be the start of my career and passion for telling people’s stories. I’m excited to join Creative State where I’ll be able to tell a wide range of stories for businesses and organizations throughout the country,” stated Hawkes.
Melissa will lead Creative State’s newly formed B2B Video Department. She will be responsible for creating a wide variety of video content for Creative State clients. She will focus on Facebook Live and other live video platforms as well as short-form B2B video that is optimized for social sharing.
