Creative State took home 3 Merits from the Graphex 40 Awards tonight, awarded by The Art Directors Club of Tulsa.

The Art Directors Club is the premier organization for integrated media and the first international creative collective of its kind. Founded in New York in 1920, ADC is a self-funding, not-for-profit membership organization whose mission is to connect, provoke and elevate creative visual communications professionals around the world. It focuses on the highest standards of excellence and integrity in visual communications for the industry, and encourages students and young professionals entering the field. ADC provides a forum for creatives in Advertising, Design, Interactive Media and Communications to explore the direction of these rapidly converging industries.

The annual awards competition (Graphex) identifies and honors the best work of the year in print and broadcast advertising, interactive media, graphic design, publication design, packaging, photography and illustration. Entrants from Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, Missouri and of course Oklahoma submitted more than 300 entries last year.

The awards ceremony presented a showcase of 39 professional awards and 11 student awards. Creative State was awarded 3 Merits in the categories of Print and Interactive Media.

Professional judges included Christopher Simmons of MINE, Lori Wynn of Deutsch Design Works, and Rob Bynder of Robert Bynder Design, Inc.
